Small is Beautiful {Once More} was a four-day international virtual symposium bringing together researchers, clinicians and students with an interest in within-person research methodologies. Coordinated by Johan W.S. Vlaeyen, Patrick Onghena, Livia Guadagnoli, Rikard Wicksell and Eva Ceulemans, the symposium showcased advances in both Single-Case Experimental Designs (SCEDs) and Single-Case Observational Designs (SCODs), with a particular focus on strengthening links between these complementary approaches. The programme featured international experts discussing methodological innovations, practical applications and emerging directions in individual-level research, while providing opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange and capacity building across the growing single-case research community.
