Event Description

Small is Beautiful {Again} was a three-day virtual symposium held from 14–16 April 2021, bringing together clinicians, researchers and students with an interest in Single-Case Experimental Designs (SCEDs). Coordinated by Johan W.S. Vlaeyen, Patrick Onghena and Livia Guadagnoli, the symposium showcased contemporary developments in SCED methodology, design, analysis and application across health and behavioural research. The programme featured international experts alongside emerging researchers, providing opportunities to share methodological advances, practical experiences and future directions for the field. Hosted by KU Leuven (Belgium) and the Karolinska Institutet (Sweden), the event aimed to strengthen collaboration and build capacity within the growing international SCED community.
