In July 2025, the International Collaborative Network for N-of-1 Trials and Single-Case Designs (ICN) welcomed Associate Professor Harriëtte Riese to its Executive Committee.
Associate Professor Riese is a researcher at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG), where she leads internationally recognised research on ambulatory psychological and physiological monitoring and the implementation of ecological momentary assessment (EMA) in mental healthcare. Her work focuses on personalised, real-time assessment methods and their application to improve clinical care, making her an outstanding addition to ICN’s leadership.
Associate Professor Riese joined the Executive Committee alongside Co-Chairs A/Prof Jane Nikles and Dr Suzanne McDonald, together with Professor Robyn Tate, Professor Patrick Onghena, Professor Nicholas Schork, Dr Laura Goetz, A/Prof Rikard Wicksell, Professor Johan Vlaeyen, Professor James McGree, and Industry Representatives Browning Rockwell and Alec Mian.
The Executive Committee provides strategic leadership for ICN and supports the network’s mission to advance the science and application of N-of-1 trials and single-case designs through international collaboration, education and research. We are delighted to welcome Associate Professor Riese and look forward to her contributions as ICN continues to grow its global community.
