(CENT for TCM 2019)

Overview

The CONSORT Extension for Reporting N-of-1 Trials for Traditional Chinese Medicine (CENT for TCM) provides evidence-based recommendations for reporting N-of-1 trials evaluating traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) interventions. Developed through an international consensus process, the guideline extends the original CENT Statement by incorporating reporting items that address the unique characteristics of TCM theory, diagnosis and treatment.

What is it for?

CENT for TCM provides a structured reporting framework to help authors clearly describe the design, conduct, interventions and findings of N-of-1 trials involving traditional Chinese medicine. The guideline aims to improve reporting quality, transparency and reproducibility while ensuring TCM-specific information is adequately documented.

Who should use it?

Researchers, clinicians, students, journal editors, peer reviewers and others involved in the design, conduct, reporting and evaluation of N-of-1 trials investigating traditional Chinese medicine interventions.

Key resources
