Description: This one-day workshop introduced participants to the design, conduct, and analysis of N-of-1 trials in health research. The workshop covered the rationale for using N-of-1 trials, the strengths and limitations of different N-of-1 designs, and key practical considerations for conducting N-of-1 studies in applied health research settings. Analytic issues related to the evaluation of N-of-1 data were also discussed, including challenges associated with within-person data and repeated measurement. The session included a facilitated group discussion to encourage participants to reflect on the opportunities and challenges of applying N-of-1 methods in health research across different contexts and disciplines.
