On the first day of the symposium, a dedicated session on Single-Case Experimental Design (SCED) was chaired by Professor Patrick Onghena. This session focused on methodological developments and analytical approaches for single-case research and included the following presentations:

  • Professor Patrick Onghena (Methodology of Educational Sciences, KU Leuven): Single-case experimental design and analysis

  • Dr Tamal Kumar De (Methodology of Educational Sciences, KU Leuven): SCDA: A web application for single-case data analysis

  • Dr Lies Declercq (Psychology and Educational Sciences, KU Leuven Kortrijk Campus): MultiSCED: Multilevel modelling of single-case experimental designs

This session highlighted contemporary statistical tools and methodological innovations supporting rigorous design and analysis of single-case experimental studies.
